Biography

Born in Mallow, I now live in Blarney Co. Cork with my wife Margie. We have two sons David and Kevin and two daughters Lynda and Marika. We have seven lovely grandchildren. Megan, Lucy, Harry, Chloe, Jamie, Charlie and Saoirse. I am a solo artist performing on the dancing circuit and I also play for weddings, parties and church functions.

I have recorded 4 Albums which include a variety of Country and Irish favourites. I have also recorded a number of songs on the various volumes of the Rakes Of Mallow albums . My musical journey began 30 years ago. Back then it was just me and my old guitar, now it is a van load of equipment and a roadie.!! For the early part of my career I played mostly in lounge bars and clubs but in the year 2000 I changed direction and joined the dancing circuit.

My wife Margie plays a very important part in my role as a performer. She accompanies me to all of my gigs and monitors the sound to ensure pleasant and easy listening for the dancers. Margie also takes care of the booking enquiries and the posting of cds to people at home and abroad.

My daughter Lynda has written a number of songs and I put the music to some of these and recorded them. She wrote her own wedding song which is the title track of my 4^th album. “You Are My World”. I enjoy working with Lynda and I value her creativity.

Music is my life and I enjoy what I do. My ambition is to remain on the dancing scene, bring my music to other counties and make more albums. I would like to say a special thanks to all of you who have supported me by purchasing my cds, coming to my gigs, requesting my music on radio, and most of all for your friendship and words of support. A word of thanks also to those who book me to play at their venues.
